Rough plan
1. Chevalley group schemes: explicit functorial viewpoint through Chevalley basis of semisimple Lie algebra
2. Generalities on algebraic groups/group schemes
3. Limits/dynamic descriptions of subgroups
4*. One or two selected topics. The current ones in my mind: (1) the application of the related constructions to representations of semidirect product by GL_n(F_q), following part of Cheng Shu's paper; (2) some basics of volumes of G(Z)\G(R), with Voskresenskii's elementary proof (of Siegel's theorem) in the case of SL_n.
